“‘Our people first’ resonates the most with me. A lot of companies are more concerned with the bottom line, particularly where law firms are concerned, and it’s so refreshing to be both working for a company that puts people first and on behalf of a company that is trying to help put more people first. That’s really unique.”

Whether writing plays or addressing a crowd at an event, Jennifer Jones is adept at communicating with clarity.

It’s a skill that serves her well as business development coordinator at Decipher, a position she has held since 2019. Her responsibilities in the role range from event planning and sales to building Decipher’s relationships with other companies.

Jennifer joined Decipher with expertise in both event planning and the legal industry. In addition to her work at Decipher, Jennifer currently serves as Program Director of Legal Management Resources, where she plans General Counsel Roundtables for law firms. She also previously wrote an industrial film on law firm risk management for the Hildebrandt Institute, which was later acquired by Thomson Reuters.

She came to the legal industry after first working in the theater. After studying theater as an undergraduate student, Jennifer earned her Master of Fine Arts in playwriting from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

She went on to manage an off-Broadway theater in New York City, where she worked in creative development and managed events held at the theater which ranged from 200-person play readings to 2,000-person corporate events.

Meanwhile, she also took part in a writing project focused on telling the stories of women from around the world. Her one-woman play “Appearance of Life” received critical acclaim at its 2010 opening and went on to tour the country.

In addition to writing plays, she has also written numerous articles. A mother to two internationally adopted children, Jennifer regularly writes at and has completed her first book, How to Connect with Your Adoptive Child.
